AviClear works through a series of 3, quick 30-minute treatments over about 3 months. The treatments are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on how your skin is reacting to the treatment.
AviClear is safe for use on adolescents and adults with mild, moderate, and severe acne.
You may continue to use any prescription acne medications simultaneously unless we specifically tell you to stop. Be sure to share other treatments you are using during your consultation.
AviClear is not considered a painful treatment. There may be some mild discomfort if we’re treating active breakouts, but AviClear uses a specialized cooling system to keep the skin comfortable during the treatment session.
We don’t use topical numbing cream to allow for the best penetration. If you’re concerned about discomfort, you can take 2 Tylenol Extra Strength prior to your treatment.
